Adam McDonald

Hands-on Owner and Operator

Adam’s family history in Foot’s Bay gives him a unique knowledge of Muskoka.

Spanning 36 years in the construction industry, Adam started his journey building crib docks at the age of 16 which led to large scale framing, crew foreman and eventually Construction Engineering. Wanting to apply his experience and knowledge, Adam continued into Project Management where for several years he enjoyed supervising numerous large scale projects on the Muskoka lakes.

Adam’s family roots in Muskoka, dating back to the early 1900’s, give him a unique knowledge of Muskoka and a profound understanding and deep appreciation for the lakes and landscape. Coming from a long line of builders, Adam comes by his core values honestly and it wasn’t long after Project Management that the prospect of owning his own business came to fruition.

Katherine McDonald

Hands-on Owner and Operator

Katherine applied her knowledge and experience to support Adam’s dream.

During her 10 years with IBM, Katherine quickly earned the respect of many high profile clients as a Delivery Project Manager.

Katherine worked in Markham and, although she enjoyed her work involving critical path planning, scheduling for equipment installation and helping maintain multi layered service-level agreements for national retail and banking establishments, it wasn’t long after marrying Adam in 2002 that she was happy to move to Muskoka and apply her knowledge and experience to supporting Adam’s dream of building high-end custom cottages and boathouses.
